What Is the Next Iteration of Live Events?

Can it be contained within 4 walls and confined to the bodies and minds of those who physically attend? Is it simply people on stage talking down at people on chairs? Is it a big-screen, graphic-laden, one-way projection of ideas? ... Or is it something else, something evolutionary?
