
Jean Gazis has nearly twenty years of experience as a marketer, writer, and project manager in internal and external communications for publishing and technology firms. Along the way, Jean has also been involved in several business startups, mergers, product and website launches, and restructurings. Her freelance clients have included publishers, direct marketers, consulting firms, web startups, food businesses, professional services, and nonprofit organizations. Jean has also held managerial marketing positions at leading publishing and technology companies, both privately held and public, and as a volunteer for the
Taproot Foundation.
Jean has been developing sites using the Drupal open-source content management system since January 2007 and is a member of the NYC Drupal users group and the NYC CSS Meetup. She is currently the webmaster for numerous websites (active or in development) and was Copy Director for two more.
Jean has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the Johns Hopkins University. She has studied abroad and has taken additional courses in Advertising Copywriting, Fiction Writing, Copyediting, and art, as well as attending several Drupal Camps. She enjoys reading, writing, word games and puzzles, live music, wine, digital photography, and the great outdoors.
