Overcoming Negative Thought Patterns

“If you think you can, you can, if you think you can’t, you can’t.” Believing that we will fail will unconsciously sabotage opportunities for success. We are our own greatest enemy and are responsible for our success and failures in business and life. It’s never too late for developing a blueprint to embrace a positive mind frame for our businesses/ourselves. Becoming positive involves working on our skills and internalizing what it is that we want. We are able to draw a clear picture of how we can grow/start our businesses. Once we challenge our negative thoughts doubt becomes motivation which therefor leads to action.

Successful business tips include:

  • Writing down negative thoughts/doubts. Seeing these in writing on a daily basis is a reminder of things we need to accomplish. This list keeps us focused. As we feel more secure we begin to trust ourselves and are less afraid to fail. It’s the solution to creating creative ways to meet our challenges.
  • Identifying our skills and working around them can be our biggest asset. Talking to people who do what you want to do and understanding how they got there. At this point we are able to build our blueprint.
  • Brian Tracy speaks about “rising above the opinions of others.” Being too concerned about what people say or the way they treat you can cause negative thoughts. As small business owners we often hear that “it’s impossible” to succeed. If we have a clear blueprint of where we are going then we can achieve anything. Paying attention to those who have succeeded and learning from them is what we need.

    Hiring consultants will allow you bring in expertise that a business may not have. Consultants can provide a different perspective based on experience, bring new and innovative ideas as well as challenge things that may have been issues down the road. A good consultants can come in and bring a skill set on demand when it is needed.
